My teaching is not the truth...

"My teaching is not the truth; it is only the finger pointing to the Moon. If you think my finger is the Moon, you are misled. ... Truth is not contained in concepts and ideologies; truth can only be found in life. Holy Scriptures are only the residues... When you strike a match and the flame is created, the flame consumes the match. Manifest Truth burns. Buddha said the raft is not the shore; it is only an instrument to reach the shore. Teaching is like the raft."

Beautiful and wisdom filled words by Thich Nhat Hanh!!
I have always admired him. In fact, just few days back he was the editor for the Times of India on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi's Birth Anniversary. The entire article by him on peace was awesome :)
Will share it with all soon. Hope all is well with you.
Keep up the good work Srini, your blog is amazing!!
Sending you my lover and prayers.

Cyrus and Krishna, thank you both for your comments :)

I must say here that I didn't know much about Thich Nhat Hanh previously, but after reading his articles in the Times of India three days ago, I started admiring his wisdom and his way of explaining things, and I was prompted to learning more about him.
