Morality, which should be spontaneous, has been made to follow a pattern, a principle which becomes right or wrong according to the beliefs that one holds. To alter this pattern some resort to violence, hoping to create a "true" pattern, and others turn to law to reshape it. Both hope to create "right" morality through force and conformity. But such enforcement is no longer morality.

Hi Srini :)
Is morality out there, to be recognised and acted upon?
Or, is it present within our divine consciousness? Waiting to germinate and blossom?
Or, are we simply reading too much into this area of theological and philosophical debate?
Only time will reveal the truth regarding this matter. We just need to be patient.
Wishing you a nice day!
Cyrus
Hi Cyrus, thanks for the comment.
Yes, maybe, we are reading too much into this. The so called morality is spontaneous for some somebody who has a clear understanding of things as they are. But any attempt to force morality upon ourselves without proper understanding will always fail. Even if it can be forced, it's not morality, it's just temporary conformity. So what's needed is understanding, not morality. I think this is what K means here.
Cheers :)
