The counter-position would be:
What about those people whose rights have not been violated, have obtained proper education (secular and religious), and still gravitate towards violence and terrorism? And they are many.
I shall make no attempts to answer this question. I'll leave that for some PhD students!!! :)

Your point is very valid Cyrus. There are some highly educated terrorists, some of them highly intelligent.
I am not an expert to answer this question, but I don't believe in pointing fingers at just a few of them whom we call terrorists. We are all responsible. We all react violently -- subtly or more visibly, in some form or the other... it's just a question of magnitude. Only that the so called terrorists are placed in circumstances that force them to let out the negativities more violently. It's the collective negativity, they are not the source of negativities.
I don't know the solution to the problem, but I do think that there is something wrong with the system as a whole, not just a few of them. Maybe, spirituality can be a solution?

I agree with you Srini. The system we live in, simply is inadequate.
The final endpoint is spirituality of some kind, but to achieve our noble goals we need some kind of pragmatic thinking and solutions. Enough said! :)
